Loss of Info via Import

Hello!

By exporting existing contacts, adding a new tag, and reimporting this to our Insightly database, we have lost related information (documents, emails, etc) of all those contacts

Is there a way to rectify this?

    I apologize for this experience and to answer your question there isn't a way to rectify this. 

    Also to clarify importing data cannot delete records. I'll proceed to create a ticket for this as I will be asking for some sensitive data to help me further look into this.

    Thank you for your reply.

    Is there a way to revoke the import? My Director explained to me that their is a way to cancel the import that was done and therefore go back to the status before the import.

  • Hello Cédric,

    Insightly currently does not have an option to revoke an import. You do have the option to delete a recently imported file this option will delete the Records as well from your Insightly Account. 

    I suggest if you have an older file for your Records you'll like to revert back to is to use our bulk update via import feature. This will allow you to use your older file to update Records to the previous information they had.
