save incoming emails to insightly

I am very unhappy that this functionality no longer exists. Please work with Google (since you say they are the culprit in this loss of functionality) to get it back. It is causing a lot of wasted time and effort. There isn't even an easy workaround that allows a user to store an incoming email in insightly. The only thing I can come up with is to forward it to myself and my insightly mailbox and then manually go in and link the darn email to the appropriate contact. This is a BIG problem.

    How did you originally save incoming emails to Insightly? We still offer this option.

    If you are referring to the Insightly Gmail Gadget as per Google, Gmail Gadgets were discontinued on August 1st, 2018. You can read the Google announcement here: Gmail contextual gadgets going away on August 1st, 2018

    Even though the Gadgets are no longer available, you can use our Gmail Add-on or the Sidebar to save emails to Insightly. With our Gmail Add-on, you can do the following:

    • Save and Add links to emails
    • Reply to emails in Gmail using your email templates from Insightly
    • Save emails as Tasks, Leads, Opportunities, Projects, and Events

    Please note: The Sidebar isn't compatibility with the new Gmail layout at this time. To use the Sidebar, you'll need to switch back to the Classic Gmail layout. Also, you cannot use the Gmail Add-on and the Sidebar at the same time.
