    Nice! This is exciting.

My related objects are not showing up under the "Related" tab on my Customer Objects. The Customs Objects appear under the linked other objects, but the linked other objects don't appear under the Custom Object.

Also is there a way to add a new Custom Object, from a Contact or Project? Like you can "Add New Project For Contact", I would like to "Add New (Customer Object) For Contact" and have it automatically link the relevant fields.

Can we add notes to custom objects? This would be very useful!

    Hello Magdalena,

Correct with custom objects you do not have the ability to create a "Notes Linked" section in the related tab. I suggest creating a custom field for this information. Custom fields can hold unique information that you'll need to record in your CRM.

    Hope that helps.

    Hello Joe,

Only when you create a "Lookup Relationship" field from a different Object that relates to your Custom Object will the field show in the Related tab. A lookup field connects an object to another object.

    To answer your question below:

    • Also is there a way to add a new Custom Object, from a Contact or Project? Like you can "Add New Project For Contact", I would like to "Add New (Customer Object) For Contact" and have it automatically link the relevant fields.

You'll need to create a Lookup Field on the Custom Object for Contact. The Contact's Related tab should then display "Add Custom Object". Like you'd normally see "add link" for Standard Objects (Opp, Org, etc).

    Hope that helps.

Adding notes to a Custom Object seems like a basic necessity. Custom fields don't quite do it - we want to be able to see who left the comment and when without having to type that out every time. We probably won't use Custom Objects until the ability to add notes to them is achieved.

Agreed, custom fields is not a workaround that actually works. I will add it to the feedback and hopefully this will get picked up for development soon.

    Hey,

I was trying to see if we can upload files and link them to custom objects. For some reason, I am not able to do this. Has it not been launched for custom objects yet?
