Uploaded Email Attachments

When I link an email to an organisation/contact/lead/opportunity e.g. within the Outlook app, all images from the signature as well as the important documents (PDF/Word files) are uploaded to the relevant area.

 

Is there a way you can block the images from being uploaded in the signature as it creates a lot of files in the organisation/contact/lead/opportunity e.g. 'Files' tab.

  • Hello Matt,

    When linking an email using the Insightly Sidebar for Outlook you'll want to select the "Save and Add Link" option. This will give you the option at the bottom to "Save Attachments to Insightly" and turning it off. Here's a screenshot below to help clarify:

  • Good morning Alejandro, thank you for your response.

    I understand the above but when there is an important document/pdf that I need to attach with the email, it uploads all the email signature images also making it look unsightly in the customers files.

    If I deselect the 'Save Attachments to Insightly' option, I will not have my pdf/document files saved.

    At this time Insightly does not offer a way to select specific files only when using the Insightly Sidebar for Outlook. I know how this can be a useful feature for you. I highly suggest if you like to see an update to this feature in a future update to Insightly you post a request to our Ideas & Suggestions page, which is monitored by our Product and Engineering teams. Your fellow Insightly users can vote and comment on the idea, too. In general, the more activity a request receives, the more likely it is to be considered for implementation.

  • Same issue, want the important files in the Insightly record but not my company logo. Would love to see a fix for this.
