Outlook plugin icon problem

I am experiencing a problem with the icon display in the Insightly outlook plugin. This is happening on multiple computers but not sure what could be the problem. Icons are either distorted or missing. Could it be because of a font problem or some security setting in Outlook?

Below you can see a screen shot. The ">" icon which takes you to more detail looks instead like a euro symbol. And the "+" icon that would let you add the email addresses as contacts or leads is completely missing.

We are running Outlook 365 (version 1803) on Windows 7 (with SP1) PCs.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

  • Hello Peter,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the Outlook Sidebar, the Sidebar will only work to save emails from the email account that matches your Insightly login. Please try to log out of the Outlook Sidebar and log back in. If that doesn't help please let me know.

  • Hi Alejandro,

Logging in and out does not resolve the issue. I should be clear there is no loss of functionality. If I press the symbol that looks like an "E" or euro sign, it has the same functionality as the ">". And if click where the "+" sign is supposed to be, I actually do get the menu options for ""Add as.. Contact /  Lead".

It is only the display issue. For me it isn't a big deal since I know there is supposed to be "+" there. But for other users who don't know that there is an icon there with options - they would simply not know how to add the email address as a contact.

I also note that this isn't a problem with my account. It works fine on my laptop (which is running Windows 10, with the same Outlook/Office 365 ProPlus Version 1803). But on my desktop, and the desktops of my colleagues, the icon display is not correct.

    Thanks for any advice.
