Insightly logged me out and lost the note

I was in a conversation with a prospect and taking notes in insightly on Chrome browser. I needed to look up a different prospect so I could give this prospect specific information and opened a new tab on the browser to look at insightly. The original tab, with the note, logged me out and lost the note!

Same computer, same browser, just a different tab. But I did have to login to insightly in the second browser tab even though I have as a default to keep me logged in.

So, am I not able to look at other things in insightly, while in the middle of taking a note?

    Hello Debra,

Yes, this is correct. When you are logging in with one user account in multiple sessions, you will be logged out of the account; there can only be one session per user account. This also applies if you're logging into Insightly using multiple browsers with the same account.

    Thanks for the understanding!

Just to clarify - it was one browser, but a second tab on that browser.

    Hello Debra,

    Thanks for the clarification!

I'll need additional information to continue to look into this for you:

    1. Does this happen with a specific browser? If yes which browser?
    2. Have you tried a different browser?
    3. Is your Insightly Account a NonGoogle or GSuite?
    4. Are you able to provide a screen recording clearly showing this issue?

As well please know when having two tabs opened and one tab has not had any activity for a specific amount of time. The system will automatically log you out after no activity.

    Hi Alejandro,

I used Chrome. I always use chrome for all things related to google. So, no, I haven't tried it in a different browser because - google.

    GSuite

It's only happened once. I've started taking my notes in notepad and then cutting and pasting after the call.

    Hello Debra,

    Thanks for that information!

I was able to find out the reason behind this. Is due to only having the ability to have one session per user account. This also applies if you're logging into Insightly using multiple browsers with the same account. And, also having multiple tabs using the same browser.

    Thanks for your understanding.
