Changing fields under contacts

Is there any way to change the order of the fields under each contact? For example, can I change the order so that an individual's organization shows up first under their name?

 

Also, is there any way for me to set certain fields as required for input under each contact?

  • Hello Riya,

    Every Insightly plan can create a standard Page Layout for all record types, but only users on our Professional and Enterprise plans can create multiple layouts.

    Administrators on the Insightly account can create Page Layouts by going to System Settings > Object and Fields > click the record type you want to work in > Page Layouts.

    You can edit the default layout by clicking the layout name. For example, if you're working with Contacts, you can click the Contact Layout.

    In the Page Layout edit screen, you can arrange custom fields, hide fields, and set fields as required.

    Note: Hiding fields isn't the same as field-level security. Even though the fields are hidden, users will still be able to edit the fields using bulk editing and updating via import.

    My systems settings page does not have an option for object management or page layouts.

    If you are still using the Insightly Classic web version this options is not available. You'll need to switch your Insightly Account to the New Insightly Experience to have this feature available. To learn more about what's new, please click here.

    Any admin can switch to the new view layout by going to System Settings > Switch your team to the new Insightly User ExperienceFrom there tick off the box and save your settings. You'll be logged out and prompted to log in with our new login page.

    Please note: Once you switch between Insightly Classic and the New Insightly Experience, you will not be able to switch back to the Classic version.
