Change change user's email

Hi there, I'm logged in as the administrator and want to change one users email from name@....to newname@  but it says this:

You do not have permission to edit email addresses.

 

Please advice.

    Hello Duncan,

    Since the Insightly Account is a G Suite account, you can change an e-mail address, but it requires a few more steps:

    1. Add a New User with the correct e-mail address. Note that this will charge you for the new User.
    2. Delete the User with the incorrect e-mail address and reassign the open records to the new User.
    3. Lastly, be sure that you go to the Billing & Account > Billing Details page and adjust the number of Users on your subscription. Simply deleted the User in step 2 will not reduce your billing. Once you complete this step, your account will be credited automatically, and this credit will be applied on your next invoice date.

    Thanks Alejandro, we'll try that - one question - adding the new user will add to the cost of the service, are you saying it will then be credited immediately, or we have to continue to pay for the one we deleted up until the credit is applied at the next bill date? 

    In our case because we're on annual billing, due February, it means we're paying for an extra user until then?

    If yes, can I change to monthly billing?

    Hello Duncan,

    Yes, when you add a new user you will encounter a charge. After you'll want to then update your subscription once you have removed the user in which you will receive a credit. The credit will go towards your next bill. You can always update your subscription to monthly just know you will lose the discount you receive when on an annual subscription.
