Custom Checkbox Fields are being automatically ticked upon creation of new Contacts

Hi there, I have multiple different Checkbox custom fields assigned to our Organisations and Contacts which are automatically being checked upon the creation of a new contact/organisation.

Is there any way in which I can stop these fields from being checked and instead be left empty?

Otherwise, we'll have to manually uncheck 20+ different fields for each new contact..

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Do you happen to know if the field is being automatically checked on via workflow automation that was created? It could be that via a workflow the field is being checked upon the creation of a new organization/contact.

    Along with Alejandro's recommendation... this could also be an integration you have via the Insightly API or simply the custom field setting's default value set to "checked".
