Lost Contact Notes?

I'm noticing that many of the notes I've entered for contacts a few years ago are no longer there. Is this a known problem? Is there any way to recover them?

  • Hello Colby,

Insightly, unfortunately, doesn't provide individual backup or data restoration services. However, if you like you can check your Recycle Bin, which you can restore items deleted in the last 30 days and permanently remove any previously deleted items. Records in your Recycle Bin will still count towards your record usage and may still appear in reports or searches.

You can access the Recycle Bin by going to the right side of each record type, (i.e. Contacts, Organizations) and then you will see a Green link labeled "Recycle Bin."

To restore items, select the Recycle Bin link > click the box next to the item you'd like to restore > Restore Items.

To delete the items, select the box next to the item you'd like to delete > "Delete Items." To delete items in bulk, you can use the "empty recycle bin" option at the top. Make sure to check "all deleted items" as well.

For more information on using Insightly's Recycle Bin, take a look at the article in our Help Center: How to restore or remove items from the Recycle Bin

    Hope that helps.
