Gmail Insightly Sidebar does not stay logged in

When I log in to the Gmail sidebar, it does not stay logged in within Gmail. It only logs me in on a pop-out window.

  • Hello Joseph,

Do you have a screenshot of the pop-out window you receive?

  • Actually, the pop out that I receive is in the original troubleshooting question that you are responding to.  When I add the Insightly Add-on, it seems to add correctly.  However, when I try to use it (by wanting to add an email to Insightly as an example), I click on the Insightly icon located on the side column, and I get that log-in screen instead of the add-on functionality.

  • Hello Joseph,

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the Gmail Add-on. The Gmail Add-on will only work to save emails from the email account that matches your Insightly login. Please try to log out of the Gmail Add-on and log back in.

If you still notice an issue, can you please answer the following questions to help us investigate this further:

    1. What browser(s) and browser version are you using?

    2. Are you using Windows or Mac? What OS version are you using?

    3. Do any functions of the Add-on work for you? (Quick Save, Save, link and more...)

    4. Does the error occur if saving emails from your Inbox (Received), Sent folder, or Both?

    5. Is the Add-on installed by you or a G Suite Admin?

    6. Have you tried to uninstall and re-install the add-on?

    7. Do you see any Gmail Add-ons? You may need to click the arrow to "Show Panel".

    8. Lastly, please include a screenshot or video to help us get a better picture.

    Screenshot(s) must include the following:

    - the login information used in the Add-on (Open an email > click on Insightly > Select the 3 dot icon)

Please respond back to us at your earliest convenience.

  • I removed and re-added the app and now get this screen:

However, Insightly DOES have access to my Gmail, as you can see here:
