workflows based on tags

Im curious why we cant kick off a workflow based on the "tags".
A use case example would be if i meet someone new, scan in their business card, your system marks that as a "business_card" tag. Id like to have a work flow that says if it's a business card tag that i can create a task to contact the in x amount of days.

  • Caleb that is an interesting notion but not something I would be keen to use. Typically tags in any system are very much a 'take it as you get it' approach. This means that people tend to duplicate tags to achieve the same purpose i.e some may use the full description while others might use the acronym. So your triggers could be very unreliable. For this same reason, I only use fixed values as triggers i.e. dropdown list values. This allows you to have consistent results.
