Is there a way to change the default Project Status drop down options?



I'm trying to find a way to add an additional category to the Project Status (STATUS) object field. It currently only has the following categories (Not Started, In Progress, Deferred, Completed, Abandoned, Cancelled) and it is not giving me the option to make any changes to this.

I would like to add 'Billed' as a status so its easier for us to track those projects that have been completed and billed, as opposed to just completed. We're using a pipeline for this, but it is adding an extra unnecessary step.

    Unfortunately, Insightly does not have the functionality to edit Project Status dropdown options.


    As a workaround, you can create a custom dropdown field and add custom options.


    If you would like to see this feature implemented in future versions you can submit a feature request through our Product Feedback page.

    1. Log into your Insightly account, and click on the profile icon in the upper right-hand corner. Next, select "Product Feedback".

  • It just seems so silly that you can edit the status options for Leads and Opportunities, but not for Projects when projects can be such varied things depending on industry and company.

    Erin is right, this would be a good thing to implement custom categories to change project status. The variability should also be given to projects (besides Opps. and Leads)
