Changing Account Owner Email

We renamed our company, but it seemed to be not possible to change my email address? Any help?
I saw a similar question from a few years back with an answer that they are working on it but I can't find it.



  • To change the email address for the insightly log in:

    If you go into system setting you can change it under the User List. Click the 3 little dots on the right and choose Change User Email Address. Once you change it Insightly sends an email to the user. That user needs to click Verify email address, Log in with old user name and then they can log back in with new user name.


    To change the email address for the linked email in insightly, the User will have to go into their user settings and link the new email address.

    Unfortunately, this is not working. I get an error message "Cannot change account owners email"

    Thank you for reaching out to us!


    For security reasons, the Account Owner cannot edit their email account. You will need to change the Account Owner before you can update your user email.

    This article also shows you the steps needed to do so. Please note that if your account owner is no longer with the company, an Admin can also make this change.
