How do Folders Work?

When creating marketing assets such as emails and email templates, Journeys, and lists, it is a best practice to organize these assets into folders to avoid them being automatically placed in the Uncategorized folder. Efficient organization of these assets into folders ensures that they can be easily located.

Folder Actions

Create a Folder or Subfolder

  1. To create a folder, navigate to Folders via the objects on the left side of Insightly Marketing. From the folders screen, click New Folder in the upper right corner.
    1. The Add New Folder popup will display where a unique name can be applied to the new folder.
      1. When creating a subfolder, the Parent Folder dropdown is utilized; the folder chosen will be where the subfolder is nested after creation.
    2. Once the subfolder's name and parent folder (if applicable) have been applied either of the following can be clicked as applicable:
      • Save & New: Save the folder and reload the Add New Folder popup to create another new folder.
      • Save: Save the folder and reload the folder list view.

Edit a Folder or Subfolder

  1. To edit a folder, navigate to Folders via the objects on the left side of Insightly Marketing.
  2. Locate the folder or subfolder that requires editing and click the three dots menu on the far right of the folder. From the available options, select Edit This Folder.

Delete a Folder or Subfolder

A folder can only be deleted if there are no assets or subfolders within it. Prior to deletion, any assets and/or subfolders within a folder will need to be moved to a different folder location.

  1. To delete a folder, navigate to Folders via the objects on the left side of Insightly Marketing.
  2. Locate the folder that requires deletion and click the three dots menu on the far right of the folder. From the available options, select Delete This Folder.
