AppConnect provides users the ability to automatically purchase additional tasks if they reach their task limit during a billing cycle. This feature ensures that workflows continue running without disruption due to exceeding task limits.
How Does Auto-Stop Protection Work?
When an AppConnect account reaches 90% of its monthly task limit, Auto-Stop Protection triggers an automatic charge of $249.00 USD to the credit card on file. This charge provides the user with an additional 25,000 tasks. These extra tasks allow workflows to continue operating without exceeding task limits for the month. However, these tasks do not roll over to the next month. At the start of a new billing cycle, accounts revert to their defined plan limits regardless of whether additional tasks were purchased.
If the task limit for a given month is exceeded and Auto-Stop Protection is not active, all integrations and data sync operations will stop for the remainder of the month. Users will need to manually restart all recipes at the start of the next month when their task allocation resets.
Restarting Stopped Recipes
If your task limit is exceeded, integrations and data sync operations will cease. Auto-Stop Protection allows stopped recipes to restart automatically in certain scenarios. Recipes will restart automatically if:
- Auto-Stop Protection is enabled, and the account is successfully billed for the additional 25,000 tasks within 10 minutes of reaching 100% task usage.
- Auto-Stop Protection was recently enabled, or if there was an issue processing the initial payment but it has since been resolved.
- The task overage occurred within the same month as the 100% task usage event.
If these conditions are not met, users will need to manually restart recipes at the beginning of the next month when task limits reset.

Enabling and Disabling Auto-Stop Protection
Auto-Stop Protection is automatically enabled when a credit card is added to your AppConnect account. Users can manually enable or disable the feature by navigating to System Settings > AppConnect, and selecting the Enable Auto-Stop Protection button.
Important:
If credit card information is removed from the account, Auto-Stop Protection will be disabled. This could result in integrations and data sync operations stopping once the task limit is reached, potentially leading to disruptions in your workflows.
