Accessing Custom Objects and Applications with Insightly's Mobile Application


Insightly Account Administrators have the ability to create custom objects as well as custom applications within the web version of Insightly; this ability allows for complete CRM personalization. Users of the Insightly mobile application are able to access their custom objects and applications within the mobile application.

How Does it Work?


  • A custom object functions the same as a standard object, i.e. anything that can be performed with standard objects can also be performed within custom objects.
  • Custom applications are similar to Insightly CRM although they only contain the objects that a user has selected to be included. Account Administrators can choose who has access to custom applications via profile assignments. 
  • Custom objects and applications cannot be created, edited, or deleted via the Insightly mobile application. 

Accessing Custom Objects

  1. Open the menu drawer in the upper left of the screen. 
  2. Within in the menu drawer, scroll down until the custom objects are visible; custom objects will appear below standard objects.
    1. Tap the name to open the custom object or tap the + to the right of the name to create a new record within the custom object.

Accessing Custom Applications

  1. Open the menu drawer in the upper left of the screen. 
  2. Within the menu drawer, tap the drop-down arrow next to the current application being viewed.
  3. Select the applicable custom application from the displayed list.
