When sending email from Insightly, you will need to ensure you're meeting any legal requirements to protect recipients from spam or unwanted emails. Insightly can provide email metrics for opened emails, clicked links, and template averages for those measures. Because it's not apparent to the email recipients that these actions are being tracked, the tracking option is disabled by default. Please note that Email Tracking is only available for paid plans and not for trial plans.
To track email statistics, you must use a template and send the email from Insightly. If you enable this feature, make sure you are getting explicit consent from your customers to track these actions. After 30 days, the email's tracking links will expire.
To Enable Email Tracking
- Go to System Settings > Email Tracking.
- Check the Enable Email Tracking checkbox. From that point on, email tracking will be enabled for all new emails sent from Insightly. Emails sent before the setting is enabled did not include trackers, so metrics will not available for them.
