  • And while at it, bring back multiple email address fields.

    As suggested:

    'For instance you could have created the ability for customers to mark an email field as "primary" which would have preserved all existing functionality and given you guys a clear signal of what was the most important email address.'

  • Agree - losing multiple email fields has been a backward step in my opinion.  I have clients who have different emails for different parts of their business which currently means I have to have multiple contacts configured along with mutliple organisations (because Insightly cleverly and automatically creates a new organisation).  Please bring multiple email addresses back. 

    And, while on it - make Auto creation of Organizations a selectable option.

  • We are quite happy users of the system, 2 top priorities for us:

    1. Allow multiple email addresses
    2. Allow merging contacts without manually copying custom fields

  • +1 Smartmerge now removes the non-primary email address.  And just means another duplicate contact will be created as soon as we log another message.  We have plenty of clients that send stuff sometimes from work email and sometimes from home, all related to same organization.

  • The solution Insightly came up with after the big change in email addresses works well for us. But I think that's not the point of this issue. Currently you cannot merge contacts without manually copying custom fields. Merging custom fields would be helpful.

    Over a year and nothing done. I'm going to start looking for an alternative today. This will probably never happen at this rate and it's just unacceptable for a CRM

  • We are planning to cancel Insightly.  This is just way too much of a pain, and after a year they have done nothing to fix it.

  • Where did all the additional email addresses of my contacts go?  My company's workflow is damaged by the recent change to only support a single address for each contact.  Frustrated.

  • Has this problem been addressed, this seems to be something basic for a CRM and it's been over a year. Hell just toss in 3 more email fields but do something. I might need to start looking for an alternative.
