Bulk Leads import error "Missing Essential Info"

I deleted a bunch of former contacts I wanted to import as leads, I have all the fields filled out. I've imported leads before without this issue. Now, it says none of the leads were imported due to this error and there is no evidence that I've done it incorrectly.

    Check to make sure there are no weird ASCII or UNICODE characters or blank columns/rows in your CSV. Sometimes formatting is the issue or hidden weirdness in a sheet. Convert everything to a plain text CSV and strip all non essential characters. Try Google Sheets vs. Excel or Numbers and try different types of CSVs and XLS formats. This is often the culprit and may or may not be in play here.

  • Hi Remi:

    The only required field for a Lead record is the Last Name. Is this included when you map the data into during the import process?

    I have the same problem and the LastName field is mapped and complete in the file.
