Mail Merge

I need letter writing and variable data synchronization capabilities.  Are they available in Insightly?  If not, is here any potential for this in the future?

  • @Falstrunk. What are you referring to as data synchronization capabilities? Can you provide me additional details?Insightly does have email templates available. Here's a bit more information on templates: http://support.insight.ly/hc/en-us/articles/204450964-Email-templates-overview.

  • A mail merge like in Zoho would be great--not just for email, but for letters and other docs.

  • the zoho mail merge is primitive but it is better than no mail merge at all. So unless Insightly implements something quickly it looks like to Zoho we go.

    You are correct that it is not currently possible to print mailing labels directly from Insightly, but what you can do is filter your customer list and then export your data to a CSV file, using the mail-merge program of your choice.

    I found this also in the knowledge base and it will work for me. But in the future the ability to select which fields we export would be nice.  Sorry for speaking too soon.  Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Hi there,

    When assigning an email inside a project can I group them with another email  within the same project so I don't end up with an endless list of emails in my project emails.

  • I feel this is something you should have done by now.  Every time I have to do a one off letter I find myself looking for alternative CRMs!

  • Unfortunately for Insightly because I have told all my small business contacts about this and they immediately shy away from you product.!!! 

    If your product team needs someone to push them in this direction give them my name. As a small business we mail out over 15,000 mail merge letters to our customer base annually .We need to use ms office to do the mail merge. The question I always get is "why are we using Insightly when we can get the same thing from google for free? "  I have no answer to the question, but is becoming obvious.
