Customize Fields that Display on List Layouts

Every company has different pieces of information that are most important to them. Especially when calling down a list of Leads, it would be great to have the ability to customize what we see right there. 

If I don't care about their company name, but would rather see the Status of the Lead, for example, that level of flexibility would be great.

    You can now switch to the New Insightly Experience and customize your list views: select columns, sort, save and share lists.

  • Hi Steve. Thanks for asking. I'm afraid there is no way to customize the columns that are displayed on the Leads dashboard page. But now that Nate has posted this request, we can see how the community responds with their votes and comments. Thanks!

  • Nate is right, being able to see the "Lead Status" right from the list is a huge help. Please allow admins to add important items to the dashboard list.

  • I fully agree, this is something we really miss! We work with leads. Lists get pretty long and there is no way we can see the status of each lead now without opening them or creating multiple filters. As a work around: just adding the status field to the list would be already a big step forward for us.

  • I would like to be able to show contract amounts on projects, with the sum, just like it is on opportunities. It seems very odd that it isn't already shown.

  • Customizing the list view is almost a must have. I've imported my contacts from LinkedIn and I only see the first name. Quite a hazzle with 1.500 contacts!

  • This would be great when searching contacts. It would be nice to see the primary phone number listed in the search results list, right next to the email address.

  • Is there any update on this? Being able to customize the columns (like it's possible in the reporting) would be a huge improvement really! For Leads, Opps, and Projects ... Please make this happen fast. Thanks!

  • How many upvotes does a feature request need to get before the team works on it?

    I've seen some horror stories with software companies taking 6 months or longer to add a new feature, even basic features, to their system. Just take a look at the Google community boards! Some of those feature requests go on for YEARS.

    The number of votes and time posted on our Community are just a couple of the things we take into consideration. Other considerations would be how hard or easy it would be to develop a feature, what is already in development stages or what value would be added with the addition of the feature just to name a few.

    While we would love to be able to add all the great ideas that are shared in our Community, there are only so many hours in the day. We appreciate the time taken to add comments and vote for features to bring visibility to what you and other users would like to see added.

  • This seems rather essential. We're considering migrating from ZOHO, which has its fair share of problems but at least we can see *at a glance* AND SORT leads/opportunities by data that is important to us:

    • Lead Created Time
    • Last Activity
    • Lead Owner
    • Lead Source etc

    Additionally, for Opportunities:

    • Closing Date
    • Dollar Amount
    • Pipeline Stage

    Without this, I really cant see the point of even having a Leads/Opportunities list screen at all.

  • YES, please make ALL list customizable. It should be possible to add/remove fields, and sort/filter by any field.

  • We're using advanced reports to do some of this, but i wonder if that workaround does more harm than good with user moral.  It's a very klugy work-around.

    I agree a customizable list would be a major usability improvement.

  • Upvote! We want to be able to view, organize, and see our leads, etc., and the associated reports according to COMPANY names as opposed to contact names. We are a B2B copany.
