Unable to see Google Drive files

I've logged in under my Google Apps domain but when I click on the Google Drive icon under Files (for a contact, org, project etc) it hangs and never returns any files or folders, even though there is definitely content there. How do I troubleshoot this?

Cheers

Mark

  • Hi there

I have a client who reported the same issue - unable to add files from his Google Drive - gets stuck on "loading".

He first picked up the problem a few days ago - then it started working again until this morning.

I cleared the chrome cache, made sure his logged on to his Google drive and ....

I don't really want to remove Insightly from his Apps Store  - ref. to Felipe's finding "It won't give me the option to re-add insightly to my "Allowed applications".

  • Hi,

We're unable to access our Google Drive files from within a Project using the Files tab.  The system hangs 'Loading Your Google Drive ...'.  Any suggestions?

  • Hi all,

    Thanks for your patience.

We've made some updates and have been informed this should be working now. Can you refresh and try once again?

  • Hello,

I tried again on MAC and PC but still not working. The difference is that the the system does not hang 'Loading Your Google Drive' anymore but the page freezes.

  • Having the same exact issue as described above, on both Mac and PC (Chrome on both). Confirmed that Insightly is authorized in Google apps. Any fix yet?

Also note that I've been able to do this in the past, but it seems not to be working now for some reason.

  • Same issue here. It worked 2-3 days ago, and now it starts Loading Google drive and then freezes.
Problem exists only with Chrome, with the Insightly Sidebar enabled. We're not using the Gmail gadget.

Loading a file to Gdrive with Edge works fine.

Update: Works now after 2-3 hours. haven't changed anything.

  • I'm having the same issue. Working on a Mac with Chrome. I click on the Google Drive icon and it cycles for a moment then nothing and the page is frozen. I looked in my Google account and do not see Insightly as a linked app anymore. It used to be, but now I can't recall how I linked them in the first place, so I don't know how to relink.

  • Hi Greg,

I'm sorry you're having trouble. It appears to work for our Google Apps/G Suite accounts, so it may take some time as mentioned by Andreas to refresh with Non G Suite accounts. We'll keep our eye on this.

  • Is there another way to manually link my google drive to the insightly account?

  • I am not able to add files from google drive suddenly today.  I assume it is similar to the previous posts.  Just gets stuck while displaying "Loading your google drive".  I checked the browser console and saw the following error:

    console:
Load denied by X-Frame-Options: https://googleapps.insight.ly/Drive/Picker/12948389?type=Opportunity does not permit cross-origin framing.

I verified permissions, cleared cookies, checked other browsers, and found the same issue.  This is a workflow stoppage for us.  Help!!

  • Hi Alison.

Can you share the steps you're taking?

  • Hi Nora,

I open the opportunity, click the files tab, click the name of the file which is a hyperlink. This usually initiates the download, which it seems to be doing, but the files never open. This has been happening for a few weeks.

  • Hi Alison,

Are you adding files from your computer or via Google Drive?

  • It looks like I can open files that I have personally added.

I cannot open the ones my coworker is adding. He is adding them from his computer, not Google Drive.

  • Hi Alison,

Are you able to see the record, such as the emails linked to the record or the history? I'm wondering if perhaps the record is marked private. Would you be able to share the type and name of the record?

  • Nora,

I can see it, and I can click on it. But I can't open it.

I'll add a screenshot. The top one is added by me and I can open it. The other two are added by another co-worker and neither I or other co-workers can open those.

  • Hi Jeromy,

I apologize your inquiry was skipped. As mentioned to Greg and Andreas above, it appears to work for our Google Apps/G Suite accounts, but it seems to take some time to refresh with Non G Suite accounts. We're keeping an eye out to this but don't have another way to add file to Google Drive at this time.

  • It does seem to be working in Chrome now, but I have the original problem with Firefox.

  • Hi Greg:

If the trouble persists in a specific browser you may want to check the browser settings and permissions to see if something is being blocked. Firefox also has a Community you can reach out to for assistance.
