Attached documents from PandaDoc should show document name

Currently when you create a new file using the PandaDoc integration, the file name shown is always the name of the template chosen.

The problem is that the document is often going to be different from the template.  For example, I am using PandaDoc to generate quotes for opportunities.  Each template is a basic quote outline that gets customized for the opp.  If I create 2 or more quotes for the same opp, I will see two files with the same name (not the name of the document I created).

I would suggest changing that so the file names are from the created document, not the selected template.

  • Hi Matt,

This is a problem we know of and are working with PandaDoc to enable that through their API so we can utilize it to get the Documents Name and not the templates name.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and hopefully we will resolve this soon.

  • Hi Aaron,

    Happy New Year!

Unfortunately, this is not on our end, we are waiting on PandaDoc for the fix.

I will email them right away and make sure they are still on track.

    Thank you for using Insightly!

  • Hi,

Is there any update on this? The original request goes back a while.

Insightly not displaying the document name l document name linked in PandaDoc is not very useful.
