New Insightly issues: milestones, tasks
I posted this on another page last year and never had any response from insightly, so when I raised this with support this week, I was advised that I posted it in the wrong area and that the engineering and product teams don't look at those. So here I go again.
We switched to the new Insightly lNov 2017 and there is a lot to like, but also a lot to not like.
I like a lot of the new view functions, but the issues we are having now are:
Milestones - you used to be able to 'tick off' a milestone when it was completed - whether or not it was past the due date or not. Now you have no idea whether or not we met the milestone or if it is still to come because it automatically goes to past date. Really frustrating.
Milestone's don't all display on one page - you have to click to see all of them - this is the same with opportunities and projects - I'd love the opportunity to say how many I display on the one page and not be limited to what Insightly say I can see on one page.
Also, you used to be able to see Tasks listed under each milestone - it's frustrating that I can no longer see which task belongs to each milestone.
Similar to tasks, when in an opportunity, contact or project, you were able to see previously which tasks are outstanding and which have been completed - this is no longer possible. There's no tick box next to each task when you are looking at it in the project, opportunity or contact view - so you don't know what's done and what isn't.
One of my colleagues also wrote: I must agree with Paul. Most critical for me is with Tasks not displaying if completed or not. As above, Milestones should remain current/top of page until ticked off/achieved. Dropping to a past date prior to achieving the milestone is not very user friendly.
If tasks are allocated to a Milestone it would be great to have them display under the milestone as before, this is why we set up the activity lists ie groupings to a specific milestone.
I would also like to be able to print a page of Projects, Tasks etc without it cutting off at one page.
We ended up switching back to the old version of insightly until these items are fixed, as it severely harmed out business when using the new version.
