Fields and saving edits to email template gone rogue
I recently noticed that one of the fields (Role/Title) I had inserted into an email template (quite a while ago) wasn't pulling in the data anymore — just leaving it blank. I re-checked everything and tried to re-do the field, but no change. So I then tried to change the field to another one that is still working (First Name) and the system wouldn't let me save. It acted like it was saved, but immediately reverted to the original version. I am making these revisions in the actual email template area, not in a preview.
Any thoughts? I thought that originally the field name in the Contact record was called Role. Now it says Title. However, the name for this in the email template is Role/Title. If there was a change to this due to the recent improvements, would this be causing my issue? It still doesn't explain why I can't save any revisions!
