Task reminder notification

Hi,

Since I changed to the new updated version of insightly I've been missing some of my task reminders because I don't receive the email notification.

Anyone have the problem? How should I fix it?

    I see you posted this same issue in a previous post where I provided my answer. The link is here.

    I say let's work on this issue in this post to help better communicate.  

    My comment is below: 

    It's possible that the email may be getting blocked, filtered, or categorized as spam.

    Here are a few things you can try to allow the email into your inbox:

    1. Check your spam folder. If the message is there, you can usually mark it as "not spam," which will help new messages to get to your inbox.
    2. Add Insightly to your contacts list, as most email programs will allow messages from your contacts to pass through any filters. This is usually the best fix. For most email types, add "Insightly Notifications" as the contact with the email address of notifications@insightly.com. For Business Card Scans, add "Insightly Business Cards" as the contact with the e-mail address of notifications@insightlycrm.com.
    3. Add our domain names (insightly.com and insight.ly) to your approved senders list (whitelist). This process varies with individual email programs, but if you use Gmail, here's a link to the instructions for managing senders lists.

    If you try the suggestions above, resend the message, and it still doesn't come through please let me know!

    Thank you for your reply. My name is Laura.

    Well, the email notifications are not filtered as spam because I check out that folder everyday and there's nothing from insghtly. So, that's good.

    I have a filter for insightly notifications to a different folder, not inbox, and it's been working more than fine until now. I checked out that filter settings and the email address is correct.

    Regarding your last suggestion, already done but the problem is still there. I had a few task reminders for this morning but the notification never arrived.

    Thanks for clarifying all the troubleshooting steps you have tried!

    At this point, I'd suggest checking in with your email provider and network administrator, as the message is likely being blocked at a higher level.

    This can sometimes happen due to email system restrictions or when usernames or aliases have been changed. Your email provider will be able to find where the message is being routed and help get you on the right track.

    Once you have reached out to your email provider and they have verified all is well please let me know so I can investigate further.

  • Hi Alejandro,

    There's something I don't understand. Last Friday I tried something else.

    I created some new tasks in some of the opportunities that the reminders were missing last week and I received all the reminders of the new tasks that I programmed for today.

    I didn't do any changes in my email, I left the filter activated so, I don't really understand what's going on. Why the reminders of "old tasks" go missing and the reminders of "new tasks" are received in the email? By "old tasks" I mean the ones created before the new Insightly version and by "new tasks" I mean the created after changing to the new version.

    Do you still think it is because of the email system restrictions?

    I can continue to take a further look I'll just need two examples. 

    • The first example if you can provide is a screenshot of an old Task prior to switching to the New Insightly Experience. 
    • The second example will be of a new Task that you are receiving the notification for

    Sure. Well, I'm not sure if I understood correctly the first example asked for but here it is.

    The one on the left is an old task, and before the new insighlty experience I was receiving the reminder notifications with no problem and as you can see I had a reminder for this task schedule for this morning but I didn't receive that notification.

     

    The one on the right is a new task, created after switching to the new experience and I received indeed this task reminder notification.
