Adding new Leads to different products and separate pipelines for reporting?

I have 2 businesses that are completely separate.The leads and contacts are also different (one business contact is for gift items whereas the second business is pet food.)Where to I separate the leads, contacts in the set up when I enter new contact or lead? Can I also have separate sales pipelines in one database?

    I recommend setting up a multi-select custom field for the business that each contact belongs to. That field can convert over from the lead to the contact and organization as needed. You can have multiple pipelines for opportunities and projects so you can apply the one that pertains to that individual sale or project.
