You're probably familiar with objects - they contain and organize all of your records.
Insightly’s standard objects are any objects that were created by Insightly, like Contacts or Opportunities.
There may be situations when standard objects don’t quite align with what your company needs.
For example, maybe you want to use the functionality of the Organizations object, but everyone in the company recognizes and uses the term Accounts for the companies that you do business with.
Instead of asking everyone to learn the new terminology, Insightly admins can simply relabel these objects.
Admins on Professional and Enterprise plans can rename any standard object within Insightly.
To rename a standard object:
- Go to System Settings > Objects and Fields.
- Select the standard object you want to rename.
- Click Object Details.
- Click the Actions menu. Select Edit This Object.
- Enter the object’s new singular and plural labels.
- Click Save Standard Object.
If you need to rename the object again or revert it back to it’s original name, just return to the Actions menu and select Edit This Object or Reset to Default.
