With field level permissions, Insightly administrators on Enterprise plans will be able to select which fields other users will have access to.
Any field from any object type can be updated as long as you have advanced permissions enabled.
Setting these field permissions will affect record layouts, list views, and reports.
To edit field level permissions:
- Go to System Settings > Objects & Fields.
- Select an Object.
- Select Object Fields.
- Choose a field
- Select Set Field-Level Security.
- Click Edit Permissions.
- Click the check boxes to set permissions for different profiles. The field can be set to Read Only or Hidden.
If any field needs to be hidden for a specific profile, adjust the permissions for the Hidden option by selecting the checkbox. This ensures that the field is not visible or included in outputs for users with that profile, maintaining confidentiality or simplifying the view where necessary.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
