How to edit or move a role in your permissions hierarchy

You can change the name or the reporting structure of a role by editing it.

To edit a role:

  1. Go to System Settings > Permissions.
  2. Select the Roles tab.
  3. Click the Edit link next to the role you'd like to change.

  4. To rename the role, type a new name.
  5. To move the role under a different reporting role in the hierarchy, click the dropdown list and select another role. When changing an existing role's reporting structure, the current role and all the roles that report up to it will be moved together.
  6. Click Save.
