How to use email templates with the Insightly CRM Sidebar for Gmail

You can use your Insightly email templates when replying to emails in your Gmail inbox through the Sidebar. Templates can be used when replying to an email or when you compose a new email.

The Sidebar will not autofill fields from the record in your template. The highlighted fields will need to be entered in manually.

To reply using a template:

  1. Open an email.
  2. Click the Insightly icon (on the right side of the Gmail screen).

  3. Click Reply With Template.

  4. Select a template from the dropdown. Click Reply or Reply All.

  5. Edit any necessary fields. Click Send.

To compose a new email with a template:

  1. Open an email.
  2. Click the Insightly icon (on the right side of the Gmail screen).

  3. Click on the three-dot menu in the upper right of the Sidebar. Select Compose New Email.

  4. Select a template from the dropdown.

  5. Click Add New in the Recipients field.

  6. A search field will appear. Type in the name of the contact or lead you want to email. Click Search.

  7. Select the contact or lead. You can add multiple leads and contacts to an email.

  8. Click Compose. A new email will appear with the template.

  9. Edit any necessary fields. Click Send.
